You will never experience deep faith until you’ve experienced (and survived) deep doubt. Faith is strengthened, not weakened by doubt. Faith is weakened by certainty. Where there is genuine certainty, there is no need for faith. Where there is false certainty, there is an artificial faith. The surest road to disillusionment is false certainty.
Faith may thrive in the face of doubt. Faith becomes more than sufficient, but not necessary when it encounters doubt.
