Correlation confuses me. I do not know how independent phenomena correlate. Is correlation at the level of appearance? Or is it something deeper? Is it something located in the essence of the phenomenon? Perhaps it is wrong to use the word phenomenon, but I use it purposely, in the Kantian sense. I suspect that repeated decisions are driven by pattern recognition. I suspect further, that pattern recognition is dependent on correlation, and I am especially suspect of my understanding. Is correlation an illusion? No two patterns can exist in an identical place. The thread woven in the fabric of time/space can only appear once.
