It seems that we can strive for a certain level of stability and achievement in our life. And finally, when we approach this level, we settle in to a certain degree of psychological comfort.

But is this stability a delusion? Are there warring forces going on, risks and threats that endanger us from every side?

Somehow I sense that our world is far more dangerous than we care to fathom. Life is fragile. If this is true, I must understand balance.

Still, I think this balance may carry me off of what seems to be the false center. Denying a war, does not stop the bullets from flying.
