Epistemology is a nefarious concept. You necessarily start with an implied epistemology in order to reflect on a potentially “truer” epistemology – in this way your epistemology is informing (perhaps shaping) your epistemology. I read intense debate that often ignores the epistemology that informs the epistemology being debated. At times, I feel like the old man running down a hill, that steps on his beard, runs up it, and then swallows himself.
