In some ways the foundation of the Christian experience is not faith but rather faith in faith. In a world that is uncertain, one only has two potential choices. One of these is the path of faith. This requires one to believe that faith is a viable option. In a very real sense, faith in faith precedes almost all theological positioning. One must have faith in the possibility of faith to even place faith in a particular creed.
